
LTIA was designed and developed by the husband and wife team of Lynn and Myrtie Coleman, with the assistance of Vivian Sallie of Sallie and Associates of South Bend, Indiana.
Lynn is a retired Police Officer with the South Bend Police Department with 23 years of service. Rising to the rank of Division Chief he spent most of his career working Juvenile Services and Community Relations. Lynn later served as Assistant to Mayor Stephen Luecke, City of South Bend for 12 years. Currently he is employed with Beacon Health System, Memorial Hospital as a Community Trauma Liaison. A graduate from Bethel University, Mishawaka, Indiana Lynn was the Democratic Nominee for United States Congress in the 2nd Congressional District of Indiana in 2016. He was also a candidate for Mayor in the 2019 primary election in South Bend, Indiana.
Myrtie served nearly 32 years with TRIO Talent Search, a federally funded educational preparatory program sponsored by the University of Notre Dame. She is a graduate from Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee and earned her MSA graduate degree from the University of Notre Dame. Since retirement Myrtie stays busy with community service and volunteerism through her membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., National Coalition of 100 Black Women, South Bend Chapter, the Scholarship Foundation of St. Joe County , and the local chapter of League of Women Voters.
Together, it’s now their dream and prayer to take the experience and knowledge they have gained to provide hope and opportunity for others.
